Being single myself, I think it’s a perfect time to take a look at our self-love, how do you LOVE you? After all, YOU are the most important person in your life.

If you don’t love yourself, then how can someone else love you?

I invite you to try this new self-love practice for 21 days and see how it transforms your life.

Every morning when you wake up, before your feet hit the floor, decide who you want to be today. Do you want to be loving and kind? Do you want to be a person of increase? You choose how you want to show up this day. When you go into the bathroom and look in the mirror; take a good look into your own eyes and say “I love you, I truly love you”. Continue to make a point of telling yourself this every time you look at yourself in the mirror. Then when you are ready to walk out the door and start your day say to yourself “You look fabulous today, you are beautiful”. Every time your mind wants to go back to self-judgement or comparrison, remind yourself that you are a glorious child of the Universe and you are loved beyond measure. Let us finish up our daily practice while lying in bed, take a quick moment to run through your day: this went really well, I did a great job, I could have done better, I will do that one differently next time. Then forgive yourself for anything you perceive you didn’t do well. Go through all the things you are grateful for. Tell yourself “I love you and did a good job today”.

I follow this practice every day – even during challenging times. Sometimes life throws us a curve ball and I think they are opportunities for growth and healing. I have recently been through a seemingly challenging time and my love for myself became key in the healing. Loving yourself also means to set loving boundaries, gather up loving people around you to help or just going inside to your heart and trusting that your heart knows what is best for you – we just need to open up and listen.

I think the key to a joyous life is self-love and to spread love in everything you do. Be a person of increase in every encounter you have, put love & service at the center of your life and watch it transform.

Lets affirm together: I love, honor and respect myself exactly as I am right now!

With Love,
Aina
